Trump Takes Credit For Alabama's 35-28 Win Over Georgia; Thinks Kirby Smart Shouldn't Be In Smash Bros
/On Saturday, football fans witnessed one of the greatest redemption stories in modern memory. Alabama’s Jalen Hurts took over the quarterback position after starter Tua Tagovailoa suffered a right ankle injury. Hurts led the Crimson Tide to 21 straight points, including a rushing touchdown with just over a minute left in the game.
It didn’t take long for President Trump to comment on the game, and eventually, take credit for Alabama’s win. Trump spoke with reporters outside the White House. “What a game!” the president said. “Two great teams played a very very good but not great game. Not bad either but definitely not good. I told Rick Saban before the game that unemployment is at it’s lowest employment since the beginning of time. Can you believe it? Since ever. I said play Jalen Burts. He’s a fantastic kid with a great foot. One of the best goalies ever. The democrats don’t want Jalen to football, but I totally want him to football. No one footballs better than me.”
After ten increasingly confusing minutes of the president explaining football, he made a few comments about Georgia’s head coach Kirby Smart, stating; “I love Kirby Smart. He’s a great coach, but also a bad coach. He’s a very good coach but at the same time the worst coach in the world. But I love Kirby. I followed his career… starting with Kirby’s Dream Land, all the way to Kirby Epic Yarn. If Georgia had played Tom Brady or Paul Crewe at quarterback like I told them to, then they would have beat Alabama. But Kirby keeps his business in Japan, with that socialist Nintendo group. He shouldn’t even be allowed in Super Smash Bros. after a game like that. Until Kirby, Nintendo, and the University of Georgia bring their business to US soil, I will make sure the referees rig every game… every football game and every Nintendo game. Rigged. All of it. Just like the elections. All rigged, except the places where they voted for me or the republicans. But every other place was definitely rigged. Just like this Bama and Georgia game was rigged, but not by me… although I definitely had something to do with it.”
Alabama will play Oklahoma in the semifinal round of the College Football Playoff.
