UNC Basketball Team Beat UNC Football Team... During Football Practice

After another predictable loss, North Carolina’s football team held a joint practice with UNC’s basketball team. UNC Football head Coach Larry Fedora asked UNC basketball head coach Roy Williams to have the practice in order to teach his team how to win as much their basketball counterparts. This lead to UNC’s football and basketball teams having a scrimmage… in a football game… which the football team promptly lost.

Fedora had very little to say about the practice, but he did speak with WCHL 97.9, saying; “I don’t understand how their starting five beat our starting 11. Mathematically, we had 6 to 1 advantage. And I totally know math… not so much football… but definitely math. I just don’t get it. We played defense, we played offense. I put in our middle relievers and midfielders. I thought we had a great goalkeeper in the paint behind the 3 point free throw bullpen. I just don’t get it.”

Starting senior guard, Cameron Johnson, had a more negative take on the practice, stating; “This was a colossal waste of time, man. We’re trying to win championships and Larry over here giving his quarterback a baseball glove. Just stop the whole damn football program. Nobody watches that bulls*** anyway.”

Roy Williams had even less to say that. He simply told one reporter, “Gimme a god damn drink.” Then he walked into his office and sobbed for roughly 7 minutes.

The Tar Heel football team takes on Western Carolina this Saturday, while the UNC Basketball plays Stanford on Monday.
